I have two friends that I load for, I use H4831 sc 64.5 Gr. with Fed. 215 primers and 168 Gr Berger VLD hunting one gets one inch 5 shots groups the other the best is 1.5" groups. Is the one barrow needing to be replaced, we have tried many other loads and all others are much worse..

    Hello bassrods,

One thing that we did not see is if you have been working with the bullet seating jump. With the VLD bullets, they can be very fussy at times as to where you will need to seat them in relation to the leade of your barrel. You will literally need to tune for the vibration of the barrel.

The attachment is a two page article written by Eric Stecker who is the President and Head Bulletsmith of Berger Bullets. This should prove to be of assistance for helping you to get the accuracy that you are looking for.

    Cordially,

Here is the following link of http://www.bergerbullets.com/getting...in-your-rifle/ from our Berger Website that should help both of you in getting our bullets to shoot well for your rifles. Please do not hesitate to get back with any of us with the Berger Tech. Team if we can be of further assistance.
